Vieques is a small island off the eastern coast of Puerto Rico; the island was initiallyinhabited by Native Americans who came from South America. On Wednesday, January 27th, 2010 the Department Of Education had a city wide hearing and many students, teachers, and parents came out to tell their testimony on why New York City should not close down the schools.
